Moving Interstate - Time It Takes

Interstate Backloads ~ Transit Times
One of the main questions my staff members get asked is "How long does it take to move my goods interstate"?
This is a very logical question and it varies as you are being loaded onto the interstate truck in order that best suits the interstate run, whilst the driver attempts to balance your requested dates. In the most part and because of Transcorp great network of interstate removal trucks and interstate containers your preferred dates are met but delays can happen, hence this article. Before I go further, I wish to make it clear that if you book the entire interstate truck or request a sole use 20ft furniture container will result in a more certain pick up and delivery schedule that may meet your moving dates. This may cost you more but you don't then need to rely on other customers consolidation within the same interstate truck to make the run work.
Once the interstate run is determined, other factors may come into play that may also delay the truck or container from reaching you on time. Examples: If there is more furniture and/or boxes than the quote has allowed for in the space allocated then the risk is that the extra goods may not make it onto the truck as other customers may be disadvantaged and/ or extra charges would apply. Other factors that can alter transit times are rail delays, consolidation, truck breakdowns, road accidents and diversions, customers having delays in access to property, incorrect access information taking loading /unloading longer, customer(s) not home making the removal team wait and possibly goods not ready to be uplift when the interstate team turns up. In most cases Transcorp Removals & Storage achieves dates requested but from time to time many small delays can cause a larger delay.
Regardless, I have a summary of approximate interstate travel times (business days)

Note: An Exclusive Truck or sole use 20ft High Cube container may be requested for a particular removal where the time frame from pick-up to delivery is greatly reduced. This rate will be more expensive but you will have more definite times of pick up and arrival times. The above times are based on interstate backload rates which means your goods may be in transit with other removals in the same direction, for this reason our backloads rates are very competitive If these transit times suit your move then please find the time (5-8 mins) to complete our comprehensive free quote form or simply call us during business hours.
Please contact us for all other interstate removal times.
