Door to Door - How Our Charges Work (Our Fair Rates)

Unlike other removal companies, regardless of the Truck Size needed the Hourly Rate is the same (noted above) - Time starts upon Arrival and finishes on Completion of the job (NO Depot Fees). Charged in 15 minute increments after the second hour. This is the fairest way and why we are called “The Fair Charging Company”. If you wish, we happily dis-assemble and assemble beds and other related items. Please let our office know at the time of booking.

Country Moves

Hourly rate applies to the loading/unloading of the vehicle only. A fixed price applies to the travel time. This way you are not charged if the removal team needs to stop to re fuel, traffic delays etc. Our internal sales estimators will confirm your fixed travel price.

Fixed Price Furniture Moves

A fixed price is available upon request, however an allowance for possible delays may need to be considered within the quote. Generally hourly rates always work out cheaper for you.

• Monday to Saturday 5pm to 7am (After Hours)- 4 Hour minimum removal charge
• Sunday & Public Holidays - 4 Hour minimum removal charge

Pre packing/Unpacking Service

If requested, Transcorp experienced packers can come in on a day prior to uplift and pack (or unpack) your belongings at an hourly rate. Refer to the removal rates mentioned above. A minimum of 4 hours is required plus the cost of packing materials used only as it is done on a different day. If you only require packing of your kitchen breakables then please speak to our staff as we may be able to do this on the same day of the removal job where there is NO minimum of 4 hrs required. Other Melbourne Removalist - How They Charge You, Be Aware!

• Depot to Depot - You are paying them to drive to your removal job and then back to their depot again when they may be doing another job around the corner from your drop off address!
   
• Call Out Fees - If the truck has other removals booked on the day then they a clearly overcharging call out fees. A door to door rate eliminates you being overcharged for your local move.

• Return time - You are paying them drive back to the original pick up point when they may be going to another moving job nearby!

• Minimum 3 hours - Other removal companies charge a minimum of 3 hours even if the job is less than 3 hours.

• Nearest 30min or 1hr - Other removal companies charge you to nearest 30min or by the FULL hour only. You end up paying a lot extra.

• Fuel Levy - Others may add a percentage for fuel levy to the removal cost. Check their fine print.

• Credit Card Fees - You get charged extra for paying by credit card. You only notice this at the end when you look at paying!

• Citylink Tolls - Other removal companies forward the moving costs to you or go the long way (extra time added) when tolls reduce their driving costs.

• Lunch breaks - Many Removal Companies charge you for their staff/contractors to have lunch breaks! If we have lunch breaks you are NOT charged! It is the cost of business and we have pleasant moving staff.

• We Break It we fix It - BE VERY CAREFUL HERE AS THIS IS NOT INSURANCE- Any removal company offering this will have lengthy conditions that almost always voids any claim. Such as you can't help, you must follow every trolley/carry load, you must see the damage done, you may need to pay an excess, maximum claim limit, they decide the repair method etc.You MUST ask to read all of their 1-2 pages of fine print. They also charge you extra per hour to accommodate for potential claims. We are AFRA Accredited Removalists so if required, we can offer official and approved insurance policies and our rates and documents are also found on this web-site.
